Details: Our fest Megalith is analogous to a firm base. Megaliths are large stone structures or groups of standing stones, located at sites in various parts of the world and believed to have religious & historical significance. The term Megalith means "great stone" which is derived from the Greek words "megas" ('great') and "lithos" ('stone').

The Department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Kharagpur will organize Megalith, its technical festival from the 15th to 17th January '10. To achieve the objective of promoting and encouraging innovation in engineering among the students, the Civil Engineering Society has conceived Megalith to provide a platform for eminent persons from the corporate world and academia to congregate and share the knowledge gathered over years of experience in civil engineering
